    RKC Preparation Workshops Series

How to safely perform the key movements of kettlebell training that will allow you to safely train for the RKC, gain strength and pass the RKC tests.

    RKC Preparation Workshops Series
    Melbourne, Australia
    May 19, 2012
    12pm - 2pm
The RKC is the world's leading kettlebell training certification. But passing isn't easy - in fact, roughly 30% of those who attend fail on the day.

Imagine that, after three days of hot, heavy and hard training you walk away with nothing.

But it doesn't have to be that way.

Go here to see the best way you can prepare. bit.ly/L3voVN

  • Albert Owens replied to the topic Re: TGU - no high bridge - videos?? in the forums.
    Hurdle,

The high bridge TGU was designed to expose poor movement patterns, its the perfect tool for CK FMS. IMO

There is nothing wrong in practicing it, but don`t limit your self to one particular style. There are many ways you can do a TGU, overhead squat, low sweep, high bridge, roll up. and probably a whole lot more.

  • Ty replied to the topic Re: Change Psychology in the forums.
I haven't look at the vids yet... but basically you need to get their agreement to change. Get them to acknowledge what is wrong and how it is affecting them and then get them to visualise what it will be like when they change. Then get them to confirm how they will know when they have changed, what they feel like, what they see etc....

Has anyone read "The Winners Bible" by Kerry Spackman? That's another approach based on visualisation too.

So why was there ever a high bridge? I have seen pictures of it and it looked strange. I've never learnt that way myself so I was trying to understand the purpose of it.

    The PN stuff is great.

My only comment is that actually giving the clients a democratic vote in their training or diet doesn't usually lead to better results in my experience. They come to you for advice, they should take it no matter how little they like it.
